    Description

1952 Mickey Mantle Type I News Photograph By Don Wingfield. "The Commerce Comet", despite all his injuries, was able to amass 536 home runs while wearing the pinstripes for the Yankees. After ninety-six games with the club in 1951, Mantle really started showing his potential in the 1952 season, when he hit .311 with 171 hits, twenty-three home runs and eighty-seven RBI. This classic dugout image of Mantle was taken by Don Wingfield and is marked on the reverse with his name and the Sporting News' logo. The type one original news photo is dated September 1952 and is in Very Good condition with some stains and creasing.
