Description

1952 Jackie Robinson World Series Original News Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. Those damn Yankees made the World Series a sad memory for the Brooklyn Dodgers in the 1950's. Things finally changed in 1955 when Dem Bums claimed the top prize. This original 8x10" photograph shows Gene Woodling sliding back into second base as Jackie Robinson and an umpire look on in the 1952 Fall Classic. The reverse has a paper caption, smaller newspaper caption ("Oct 5 1952" stamp) and glue residue. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
