Description

1951-53 Satchel Paige Signed Postcard. Despite becoming the oldest player to make his major league debut in 1948 at the age of 42, Satchel Paige was still regarded as one of the toughest and smartest pitchers to ever take the mound. All of the great hitters had the utmost respect for Paige, whose constantly evolving pitching delivery and style fooled even the most cunning of the sluggers. The Hall of Famer is grinning ear-to-ear on this standard postcard. Paige signed the lower right corner in 8/10 ballpoint. The autograph has transparent tape covering it. The reverse is free of writing. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic.
