    Description

1949 Jackie Robinson Original News Photograph Used for 1950 Bowman Card by Barney Stein, PSA/DNA Type 1.
Few images of Jackie Robinson can rival this iconic 8x10" pose. If the photo looks familiar it should. Bowman used this for its 1950 issue. The crystal clear photo has Robinson just finishing a swing and features Ebbets Field as the background. Minor wear present on the lower corners and regular handling wear (crease 1/2" below top white perimeter) appears on the EX photo. The following are on back: "Retired" (written in blue), "54" and Brooklyn National League notice stamp. According to the PSA/DNA encapsulation this was a Barney Stein photo. Stein worked for the Dodgers for some 20 years during the team's remarkable run in Brooklyn. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, Type 1.
