Description
1948 Babe Ruth Signed Photograph. Less than three months before the Babe succumbed to the cancer that had ravaged his body, he honored an autograph request by mail with this fine artifact picturing the legendary slugger in happier, healthier days. A blue fountain pen signature at upper right ranks a conservative 9/10. The photo itself shows some corner damage from having been removed from a scrapbook, but the photo (3.5x5.25") could easily be matted and framed to a NRMT appearance. Also included is the Babe's personal letterhead envelope in which the photo was mailed, postmarked "New York, NY May 22, 1948." LOA from PSA/DNA.More information about Babe Ruth Sports Player.
