    Description

1944 Ty Cobb Original News Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. Ty Cobb still had "it" as he was nearing his sixtieth birthday. This 7x9" original photograph was captured when the Georgia Peach was putting on a hitting clinic before the 1944 Pacific Coast League All-Star Game. Cobb looks like he has a few hits left in that bat. Notice the unique batting grip which the Hall of Famer made famous. An "Acme Newspictures" stamp is joined by a caption (affixed) and PSA/DNA sticker on back. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
