    Description

1942 Babe Ruth vs. Walter Johnson Original News Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. Even in retirement Babe Ruth kept his hand in the game. In the mid 1940's Ruth and some of baseball's top names of the past staged War Bond contests as a way of rallying the troops and aiding the war effort. This original 6.5x8.5" photo captures Walter Johnson and Babe Ruth in the same frame. Ruth appears to be fouling off a fast one from The Big Train. The back has: "International News Photo" stamped and paper caption remnants. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
