    Description

1939 Lou Gehrig Original News Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 2. The swing was a slower and the speed was down when Lou Gehrig decided to take himself out of the lineup in 1939. The affects of the disease which was named after him were becoming too much. This original 7x9" photo (Type 2) was a 1950's re-strike from the original negative. A "World Wide Photos" stamp and caption (detached but present) are featured on back. Surface cracks appear on the glossy finish. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 2.
