Description

1939-82 Inductees Signed Gold Hall of Fame Plaques Lot of 70. The Gold series of Hall of Fame plaques debuted in 1964, though signed examples can be had for those who gained enshrinement in the preceding decades as well, as this collection illustrates. In some rare cases the Gold version is even tougher than the Black & White to acquire, though any collector working toward building a complete set will find this lot to be a tremendous help. Only thirteen possibles are missing from those inducted during this forty-three year stretch. Unless otherwise noted, all autographs are in 8/10 or better ink or sharpie, and the postcards present no noteworthy flaws. Included: Sisler, Grove, Frisch (7/10), Hubbell, Traynor (7/10), Gehringer, Dean, Dickey, Terry, Hartnett (6/10), Schalk (personalized), Lyons, Greenberg, Cronin, McCarthy, Crawford, Wheat, Carey, Feller, Roush, Rice, Flick (tape at left edge), Faber, Manush, Grimes, Appling, Stengel, Lloyd Waner, Ruffing, Medwick, Coveleski, Musial, Hoyt, Combs, Boudreau, Haines, Frick, Marquard, Hooper, Hafey, Paige, Gomez, Leonard, Koufax, Wynn, Kelly, Irvin, Spahn, Mantle, Ford, Conlan, Bell, Judy Johnson (6/10), Herman, Averill, Kiner (7/10), Roberts, Lindstrom, Lemon, Lopez, Sewell, Mathews, Mays, Snider, Kaline, Mize, Bob Gibson, Chandler, Frank Robinson, Travis Jackson. All are signed on front for ideal display. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
