1935 Babe Ruth Original News Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. Paper caption on verso attributes this truly thrilling masterpiece of photography to the Babe's first game with the Boston Braves, remarkably hosted at New York City's Polo Grounds where Ruth got his start a decade and a half earlier with the Yankees. The dark contrast and low angle perfectly suit the occasion, the rather sad final chapter of one of the greatest careers in American sport. Dimensions are 7.25x9". Verso bears "Acme Newspictures" stamping and a holographic sticker indicating the photo was sold as part of the 1990's auction of the "Baseball Magazine" archives. Fine condition. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
