1933 Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig at First All-Star Game News Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. "The Babe Scores the Winning Homer" reads the title on the paper caption affixed to verso of the provided 7x9" image of a most familiar scene--clean-up slugger Lou Gehrig watching the Babe cross home plate. At center a Chicago White Sox bat boy, a native to the Comiskey Park grounds where the first Midsummer Classic was contested, holds Ruth's deadly lumber. Photo presents without any flaws of significance and is stamped "Acme Newsphoto" and "July 11 1933" on reverse. A splendid image of the birth of the sport's most heralded exhibition. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
