    Description

1932 Babe Ruth Original News Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. It's one of the greatest Ruth portraits we've ever seen, a posed shot on the steps of the Bronx ballpark he claimed as his own. The paper caption which remains loosely affixed to reverse reports the image was snapped before the start of the first game of the 1932 World Series, a four-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs best remembered for Ruth's apocryphal "Called Shot." Photo measures 7x9" in size and presents without any flaws worthy of note. Reverse is stamped "Keystone-Underwood" and dated "Sep 28 1932." Sticker on reverse attributes the photo's entry to the hobby to the 1996 sale of the "Baseball Magazine" archives. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
