1930's Lou Gehrig Family Photograph. Unlike his boisterous teammate Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig was a very quiet man who preferred to keep his family life private. Even so, the struggles between Lou's mother and wife were well-documented as the otherwise strong and brave Gehrig had a difficult time transitioning away from his mother to his wife. Photographs of his family are fairly hard to come by, but this offered example shows seven of them together around a flagpole. Measures 6x8.5," is blank-backed and comes with a 12x14" matte if desired for framing. Only a couple minute creases in the far bottom right corner, and slight scrapbook residue on the verso.
