1929 Chicago Cubs Oversized Composite Photographic Display. Just entering its third decade of World Championship drought, this celebrated Wrigley Field crew couldn't have possibly imagined that they would represent the franchise's high-water mark for another eight decades to come. But, both historically and aesthetically, this is as good as it gets for collectors of Championship-quality Cubs photography, though only National League pennant-level. All the players are pictured in individual vignettes along with Mr. Wrigley himself, the elder Bill Veeck, and all the way down to the head concessionaire and groundskeeper. Notables include Hornsby, Hack Wilson, Hartnett and Cuyler. A couple small defects in the lower half of the piece cause little distraction, and none of the photographic imagery is affected. Dimensions are 21x25" framed.
