    Description

1929 Babe Ruth Photograph from Culver Pictures Archives. The first photo known of the Babe wearing the number three! Original paper caption on the verso of this news service image reads, in part, "Babe Ruth, wearing his new number on his uniform, stepped up to the plate for his first time at bat during the opening game of the American League season..." A couple tears at right edge and scattered creasing have been repaired with vintage tape on verso, but this historic shot still presents wonderfully. A monumentally important image for the serious Yankees collector. Size 8x10".
