    Description

1927 New York Yankees Original News Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. The term "diminutive" has been used to describe former New York Yankees manager Miller Huggins, and this 7x9.5" Underwood & Underwood photograph shows exactly why. Sandwiched between 6'2" Babe Ruth and 6'3" Bob Meusel, the 5'6", 140-lbs Huggins looks almost like the size of a child, but the "Mighty Mite" was in reality one of the most successful baseball managers of the early 20th century. With six pennants and three World Series titles to his credit, Huggins was the first of many great New York managers.

Waite Hoyt and Bob Shawkey fill out the photo on the far sides, giving the entire photo a nice snapshot of some of the big reasons the Yanks won so many pennants. Stamped on the back with original slug attached and "File Copy - Do Not Remove" embossed, the photo rates in Very Good condition. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
