1927 Mel Ott Photograph by Conlon. Arguably the most desirable Ott image in the hobby, this youthful batting shot is date stamped "[illegible] 16, 1927" on verso, and pictures an eighteen year old Louisiana slugger taking his first Big League cuts. The rookie vintage alone would be enough to turn heads, but this Type 1 shot likewise bears the studio stamping on verso of Charles Conlon, one of the most revered and collectible photographers in baseball history. A small chip to the lower right border is the only condition issue one could possibly note, leaving the image to display as a practical NRMT. Photography from the Live Ball era doesn't get much better. Size 6.5x8.5".
