1927 Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Bustin' Babes & Larrupin Lous Barnstorming Tour Original News Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. Original 4.75x6.75" photograph was snapped during the famous Bustin' Babes vs. Larrupin' Lou's barnstorming tour that brought the Yankee pantheon to the vast expanses of America too distant from a Major League stadium to see these legends any other way.

The Wizard of Wham is seen in full barnstorming regalia, his hands on his hips, cocky and confident. Columbia Lou is by his side, his "LL" cap visible but with a jacked over his uniform. Pencil inscription on the verso dates the photo to "Navy Day at Santa Barbara, Oct. 27, 1927" and states that Babe played for the Colorado team and Lou for the Santa Barbara team, with the former winning 7-9.

This image was taken less than three weeks after the Bombers vanquished the Pirates in the World Series, capping off the greatest season any baseball club has ever played before or since. That same season, Gehrig was named the A.L. MVP, while Ruth notched a sixty-home run season. The image exhibits a few creases and handling wear, with album page remnants on the verso, but still magnificent. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
