1925 Brooklyn Robins (Dodgers) Original Glass Plate Negative. Wonderful team image finds Hall of Fame legends Dazzy Vance and Zack Wheat side by side in the top row, appearing to enjoy the temperate weather and low stress of spring training down in Florida. For those unfamiliar with the technology, glass plate negatives were loaded into the camera and are each completely unique, meaning that this delicate relic shared the diamond with this golden age squad. The vast majority of glass plate negatives from this era have been lost to the merciless passage of time, but this 4x5" miracle lives on, capable of producing high-resolution images to this day.Auction Info
