    Description

1924 Walter Johnson Original Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. Walter Johnson was Washington's favorite son during his Hall of Fame career. It was the Big Train who willed the Senators, yes those Senators, to a World Series title in 1924. Following the triumph, the baseball world rejoiced as Johnson could finally call himself a champion. This 7.5x9.5" photograph shows a beaming Johnson after he received a car as a token of appreciation from his Washington admirers. The reverse has a photographer service stamp and production notes. A light crease appears near the upper left corner. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
