    Description

1923 World Series Original News Photographs Lot of 3. Arguably the most important season in New York baseball history, particularly if your allegiances trend toward the American League. This was the debut season of Yankee Stadium, and that of the team's first World Championship. This trio of original news photos, complete with "International Newsreel" stamping and paper captions on verso, capture the action of that momentous Subway Series. Subjects are as follows: 1) Dave Bancroft in Series' first at-bat. 2) Babe Ruth is tagged out at the plate in Game One. 3) Casey Stengel slides home safe with inside-the-park homer. Each photo measures 8x10" and exhibits no noteworthy condition distractions. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, Type I.
