1922 Waite Hoyt Original News Photograph by Charles Conlon - Used for 1933 Goudey Card, PSA/DNA Type 1. "Schoolboy" Waite Hoyt was just fifteen when he signed with the Giants in 1915 but is best remembered for his Roaring Twenties affiliation with that team from the Bronx, which won six pennants and three World Series. The "Aristocrat of Baseball" bowed out the majors with 237 wins and bowed into the Cooperstown in 1969. Measures 6.5x8.5". The corners and borders show chipping and staple holes and there are some customary editorial markings on the front of the image. But these concerns are minor and inconsequential when you consider the overall brilliance of the image, its photographer (Charles M. Conlon), and its importance (used for 1933 Goudey card). Full LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
