    Description

1922 St. Louis Browns Panoramic Photograph. We've always loved the baseball panoramic, and lament that it has gone the way of the spitball and the legal beaning. This one is particularly special, as it captures the perpetual cellar-dwelling Browns during what may have been the greatest season of their existence, even remembering that they won the pennant during the talent-drained war years. This 1922 team surrendered the American League pennant to Ruth's Yankees by a single game, their ninety-three victories the most until the relocation to Baltimore.

Among the stars pictured: George Sisler, Heine Meine, Pat Collins, Cedric Durst, Urban Shocker. This massive (9x48") photo has been mounted onto foam core and exhibits a degree of toning and edge chipping, but our catalog imagery should convey that the overall aesthetics remain strong.
