1921 Babe Ruth Original News Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. Talk about a game face. Babe Ruth is peering in on the action on this photograph (6.5x8.5") from his second year in pinstripes. The year was remarkable in that Ruth became the all-time home run leader - passing Roger Connor's modest mark of 138. Ruth's stoic look is a bit of a departure from his usual hearty disposition. A photo stamp ("The Sun and New York Herald Syndicate") is revealed on the reverse. The back also features a paper caption affixed which dates the photo to Sept. 30, 1921 - six years to the day he hit home run number 60 in 1927. The left corner is chipped and three corners have tack holes. Regular handling wear visible. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
