    Description

1920's Walter Johnson Original Studio Photograph. "The Big Train" was known for speeding along the express tracks, striking out hitters with reckless abandon. But in this 1920's original "Murillo" studio photograph, someone got Walter Johnson to slow down and pose for a portrait. Although undated, a similar Johnson photo in the same suit sold at auction fifteen years ago with Johnson holding an "Oh, Henry" candy bar, a confection not marketed until 1923. The 7.5x9.5" sepia image remains in Excellent or better condition, with a small wrinkle and two tape remnants on the back being the major condition issues.
