    Description

1920's Lou Gehrig Original Photograph, Same Pose as 1925 Exhibit Card, PSA/DNA Type 4. Your sensation of deja vu is well-justified--this image appears on one of the most important and desirable Gehrig trading cards of them all, the 1925 Exhibit rookie. Snapped a year before the Iron Horse began his legendary consecutive games streak, this photo was struck in the 1960's, accounting for its Type IV designation. The image measures 7.25x9" and has the following on back: paper caption (folded over), inventory sticker, "SPORT" stamp and "Wide World Photos" stamp. Heritage did sell a Type 3 version of this photograph for $8,400 in 2018. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, Type 4.
