1918 Boston Red Sox Type IV Team Photograph with Babe Ruth. Last World Series Title for 86 Years.
Reprinted from a duplicate negative in the 1940s this beautiful 8x10" Type IV photo features the 1918 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox.

Babe Ruth, standing in the back row - fourth from the right - was the team's fourth starting pitcher and part-time outfielder. Despite only playing in 95 games The Bambino led the American League in home runs and slugging percentage. The Sox were managed by Hall of Famer Ed Barrow and the fellow resident of Cooperstown Harry Hooper patrolled the outfield.

Standing just to Ruth's right is club owner Harry Frazee who would infamously set the Curse of the Bambino into action after the following season with the sale of Ruth to the Yankees.

The photo presents moderate wear on the corners, the reverse is clean, and the image is unhindered.
