1915-16 "Shoeless Joe" Jackson Original News Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. The uniform style adorning this brilliant and banished "Shoeless Joe" was utilized by the ChiSox from 1914 through 1916, and with the superstar outfielder dealt to Comiskey's crew in late August of 1915, odds are strong that the provided photo is of 1916 vintage. Jackson led the American League in total bases (293) that year, batting .341 with a league-topping twenty-one triples. Here he shows off his fielding skills in pre-game warm-ups. The 8x6" image is chipped at the corners and exhibits some general soiling, but these faults must be forgiven in light of the rarity and significance. Very light editorial typing appears on verso. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
