    Description

1914 "Shoeless Joe" Jackson Photograph by George Bain. One of the finest portraits we've ever encountered of the tragic and brilliant Jackson dates to his early days with the Cleveland Indians, long before dark clouds began to form on the Black Sox horizon. Jackson's surname hovers above his head, scratched into the original negative that created this Type 1 print. Size is 3.5x5". Light wear is evident at the corners and edges, but there are no other condition issues of note. An important image from one of baseball's most collectible early photographers. LOA from PSA/DNA.
