    Description

1914 Eddie Collins Photograph by George Bain. Exceptional portrait captures the Hall of Fame second baseman of Connie Mack's $100,000 infield looking uncharacteristically solemn for a man who was instrumental in winning ninety-nine games and the American League pennant in 1914. The 4.25x6.75" image has survived the bulk of a passing century remarkably well, with an upper right corner bend representing the entirety of noteworthy condition issues. One of several remarkable works from the studio of George Bain presented within this auction. Type 1. LOA from PSA/DNA.
