    Description

1910's Eddie Cicotte Wagner Original News Photograph by Bain, PSA/DNA Type 1.

Eddie Cicotte had a full bag of tricks. His repertoire of pitches included the screwball, spitter, shine ball and, most famously, the knuckle ball, which he threw two-thirds of the time. In this image on offer by photographer George Grantham Bain, Eddie dons his black Chicago uniform, which makes him look guilty as sin when one considers his involvement with the Black Sox. Cicotte is probably most famous for nailing the leadoff batter of the 1919 World Series, thereby signaling to the mob that the fix was on. Measures 3.5x4.5". NRMT condition. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
