    1887 Silver King St. Louis Browns Cabinet Photograph. Original cabinet mounted image (approximately 6x4") depicts Silver King in his striped St. Louis tie-front jersey and cap. The bottom margin of the mount has been trimmed, including its "Fisher" photo studio stamping, but the verso does contain the full studio stamp. This notable strikeout artist was born Charles Frederick Koenig and was also know as C.C. King. This item came from the family of Eddie and Jack Boyle, two 19th Century professional baseball players and is accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from the family. Letter of provenance from Michael Boyle Eckhoff (Eddie Boyle's great grandson).
