Description
Ty Cobb Original Oil Painting. We offer a 24" x 36" painting of the great Ty Cobb featuring a close-up of the legendary Tiger. The piercing stare and aggressive brushstrokes capture the emotion with which Ty played the game. The Detroit Free Press described Cobb's style of play as "daring to the point of dementia." Cobb himself wrote shortly before his death, "In legend I am a sadistic, slashing, swashbuckling despot who waged war in the guise of sport." Cobb was notorious for sliding into bases feet first, with his spikes high. Artist Grant Smith has signed the front and reverse of the canvas.More information about Ty Cobb Sports Player.
