Description
Pre-1973 Yankee Stadium Right Field Wall Section. The House that Ruth Built underwent a major renovation on its fiftieth anniversary, releasing thousands of stadium seats and far fewer items like the lot on offer here into the collecting community. This is a 36x40" slab of padded right field wall, that designation supplied by the clearly vintage handwritten notation on verso that reads, "1973 Old NY Yankee Stadium Right Field." Construction is plywood and grey weatherproof vinyl with foam rubber padding inside. A brass plaque of the style affixed to most of the larger pieces exiting the stadium in the early 1970's is affixed to obverse. Solid weathering is apparent and expected, but the piece remains solid and eminently displayable. This is one of several pieces of Yankee Stadium memorabilia on offer in this auction.Auction Info
