    Description

Late 1980's 500 Home Run Club Ring. Artfully crafted ring was produced in conjunction with the late 1980's summit of long ball artists that populated the hobby with most of the "Original Eleven" autographed material that still circulates widely today. A real diamond-studded crown is set into a black stone on the face, with raised text reporting, "Five Hundred Home Run Club" at the perimeter. Left shank features the names and personal tallies of the American League members, while right shank does the same for the National League. Notably Schmidt and Jackson do not have career totals listed, suggesting the ring was crafted in 1987 while both were still active. Interior band is engraved "11 of 20," a commentary on the rarity of this fourteen karat (14K) gold beauty. Weight is forty grams (40g.). Mint condition.
