Highland Mint Roberto Clemente Game Used Jersey Display. Roberto Clemente Walker deserved to share the halls of Cooperstown as much as he belonged in the illustrious 3,000 Hit Club, an honor which just about guarantees one's entry into the Hall of Fame. In a development that seemed almost too storybook to believe, Clemente got hit number 3,000 during his final game in 1972 before dying in a tragic plane crash in the off-season. The offered display from the Highland Mint offers a 1.5" square of material cut from his game-worn 1971 away gray pullover top. Has been matted and framed with a black and white image of the HOFer to final dimensions of 12x15". Limited-edition numbered "201/500."
