Early 1990's Roger Clemens Game Worn Spikes. Black "Reebok" spikes served as Rocket boosters at some point between 1991, when Roger earned his third Cy Young Award, and 1997, when he won his fourth. Wear is light to moderate, with a nice dusting of infield clay and clumps still stuck to the soles. Size "12" tagging is proper for this future first-ballot Hall of Famer. Air pumps on each tongue kept the legend locked in tight. Each toe is signed in simply flawless silver marker, with the notation, "CY III." Spikes were originally purchased from a Red Sox charity auction. With seven Cy Youngs, 350+ wins and 4,600+ strike outs, Clemens is arguably the greatest pitcher of the modern age, and, as such, his game used equipment will always be held with tremendous reverence. These spikes are no exception. LOA from Lou Lampson. LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph). LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).
