Description

Circa 2000 Pedro Martinez Game Used Fielder's Glove. While the steroid controversy has all but closed the doors of Cooperstown to anyone involved in the controversy, at least one diminutive pitcher will never be affected by baseball's dark age. Standing a shade under six feet and weighing 170 pounds soaking wet, Pedro Martinez was baseball's top pitching draw of the late '90's. His array of pitches kept Red Sox Nation coming back each time he toed the rubber. With multiple style matches, is this Martinez game used glove. Constructed our of Heart of the Hide leather, the glove exhibits excellent use with exemplary pocket wear and marks from use. Pedro had one special customization on the black Rawlings model Pro200-4B glove - he had a Rawlings sweat band instituted on the wrist strap. Our guess this was to suppress the sweat he generated. Included are four photos showing the righty using a glove with a similar type of customization. "Jerito Nayla Pedro Martinez" is embroidered on the thumb in red threads. We have seen a few Pedro Martinez gloves during our time, but this takes a backseat to none.
