    Description

Circa 1970 Gary Carter Game Used High School/Childhood Glove from The Gary Carter Collection. It took years of fine tuning before Gary Carter was ready for the big leagues. While a Hall of Fame career was eventually forged by the man with the big smile, Carter first began shaping his star in Fullerton, California. This Rawlings glove was with Carter along his journey. Heavy wear is visible on the tan relic from years of usage. The red Rawlings label has worn away on the wriststrap. Identification includes "Carter" written on the pinkie in fading black marker. Some of the inside lacing is lost to the high number of baseball games endured. Letter of provenance from Sandy Carter.
