Description
Circa 1951 New York Yankees Team Signed Menu. The presence of Fred Sanford and Clint Courtney, each of whom served the Yanks only during the 1951 season, leads us to the strong assumption that this menu dates to that historic season, the last Joe DiMaggio wore the pinstripes. Rookie Mickey Mantle has provided an early example of his coveted signature, tucked away in the fold of the menu and faded to the point that we nearly missed it. A look at our enhanced imagery of the item will reveal this valuable detail. Joltin' Joe is also present on this menu from his San Francisco eatery, along with the likes of Mize, Berra, Rizzuto, Dickey, Henrich, Reynolds, Houk and more. Close to thirty pencil autographs are here in total, with only a couple (none listed) dipping below 8/10 in strength. The menu exhibits some moderate toning but still. presents very well.
