Circa 1935 Lou Gehrig "Slugging & First Base Play" Movie Film. Bring the Iron Horse to life in your living room as you watch this eight-minute film produced by "Stambaugh Elite Sport Series" in the mid-1930's. The title of the film should accurately describe its plot, which studies Gehrig's prowess with the lumber and the leather. We believe that some of the footage of this film was used in Ken Burns' critically acclaimed "Baseball" documentary, but it is quite safe to say that very few men living today have ever laid eyes upon the moving images contained within. A soundtrack runs throughout as well. The nitrate film stock remains in wonderful condition, and can be viewed on a traditional reel to reel system. What lucky baseball historian will get the chance to sit back and watch the tragic Yankee great in action?
