Circa 1929 "Babe Ruth Himself" Vaudeville Promotional Poster. Babe Ruth's popularity had no limits. On the field he was known for his tape measure home runs and able to pitch his way to the top early on. We won't even get into his off-field exploits. There was no bigger name than Babe Ruth in the mid 1920's. World Series titles in 1927 and '28 only heightened his grip on the world.

This 14x16.5" Hollywood Picture News promotional poster was issued between 1927-30 when the Babe took another fling at the movies - according to the poster. This type of display piece would have been put up at a theatre for promotion of a silent film. The offering was sent to Canada in 1929 as there are two 1929 post marks from New York. Two more duty free stamps are visible as well. Mailing fold marks are visible throughout and there is tape added across the middle and on the edges to keep it together.
