Description
Circa 1918 "Play Ball" Notebook with Babe Ruth Cover. Two Hall of Famers and a disgraced Black Sox pitcher on the cover makes this rare notebook a genuine treasure for the cultured collector. Ruth is the main focus of the design, exhibiting his southpaw pitching style in the uniform of the Boston Red Sox. Slim Sallee, Eddie Collins and Eddie Cicotte appear in smaller photographic vignettes below. The 8x10" notebook still holds its lined pages within, and exhibits only a dime-sized area of paper loss and very mild staining in the white border area of the cover to illustrate its age.
