Description
Circa 1917 Honus Wagner Mini Bats Lot of 2. Intriguing pair of mini bats (16" long each) pays tribute to the Old Dutchman. The first is simply a replica of Wagner's game bat (though with a disproportionately large facsimile signature), but the second is particularly intriguing, announcing Wagner Day, June 9. Our research shows that "Wagner Day" was actually in July 1908, but June 9, 1917 was the day Wagner joined Cap Anson as just the second member of the 3,000 Hit Club. This would make the bat a particularly special memento if that's the connection. Each shows only minor wear and presents at EX-MT or better.Auction Info
