Circa 1905 Harvard Baseball Porcelain Water Set by F. Earl Christy. Highly collectible and wonderfully elegant set features imagery by F. Earl Christy, considered one of the top illustration artists of the early twentieth century. It's not difficult to see why Christy has merited that distinction as we consider the charming image of the early baseball player that decorates this attractive set. The fourteen-inch tall pitcher and four five-inch tall mugs features the ballplayer image on one side and the Harvard University crest on the other, with each piece exhibiting only mild crazing but none of the chipping and cracking usually associated with century-old porcelain. A wonderful find for the Harvard alum, or the collector of early baseball memorabilia. Guide Value or Estimate: $1,500 - $2,500.
