    Description

Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb Original Giclee Canvas Prints. A high quality hand embellished unframed print of a young Babe Ruth, entitled " No, No, Nanette", from artist Grant Smith. Ruth was sold to the Yankees to help Red Sox owner Harry Frazee finance Broadway musicals. Behind Ruth's head is text from a Frazee musical. It reads "You're going a bit too far - No No Nanette, remember how young you are. We really think you should stay. it's wrong to treat poor Tom this way." Tom Yawkey was the next owner of the Sox so the song is relevant in multiple contexts. The unframed print image is 12" x 12" , with overall dimensions with border 17" x 17".Also offered is a hand embellished giclee canvas print of the great Ty Cobb. The image itself is unframed and measures 10" x 13". Artist Grant Smith has hand painted highlights on the prints, and numbered each. The original paintings hang in the home of Yankee star Johnny Damon.
