Description

Arthur Miller Original Art Joe DiMaggio "Card That Never Was" 1935 Diamond Stars. Even casual fans know the face of the man on this original Arthur K. Miller original acrylic-on-canvas painting as Joe DiMaggio of the New York Yankees. Few players are as loved as the great Joltin' Joe and even less have meant as much to the country. DiMaggio so embodied the spirit of America during and after his career that he was highlighted in several songs as the essence of who we should be as a people. Presented in what could have been his rookie card in 1936, the painting mimics the style of the popular 1934-36 Diamond Stars. The image was used to produce the PSA NCSS promotional give-away at the 2014 National Sports Card Convention in Cleveland. Miller used all his talents to make the perfect piece for those who love the game and card collecting; no detail was overlooked. The painting's dimensions are 28.5x23" with overall measurements of frame are 31x38" (some scratches may be present on the frame.)
