This lot represents material directly from "The Christy Walsh Estate," which has been in storage since his passing in 1955 and now brought to surface by his descendants. All of this correspondence have been stored in the original files Christy had since 1921 and represents his own personal mementos, business affairs etc. particularly that with Babe Ruth. The first true super agent!

    Includes eight letters from Al Smith to Christy Walsh with short comments; 8x10" photo of Ruth and Smith, who Ruth endorsed for NY Governor; newspaper articles on Smith and a 1946 benefit invitation for Al Smith and other circulars kept by Christy Walsh. Auction LOA from JSA.
