    Description

2015 Mickey Mantle "Card that Never Was" Original Artwork by Arthur Miller. Stirring masterwork derives from the studio of Arthur K. Miller, an eminently skilled New England painter whose work has been exhibited as a one-man show at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown since the year 2000 and is likewise featured in many upscale galleries and private collections worldwide. Here Miller imagines a 1948 Leaf card featuring Mickey Mantle, who was a sixteen-year old shortstop when the set debuted. It's one of three within this auction that celebrates the Big Apple center fielders Willie, Mickey and the Duke. Acrylic on canvas work measures 32x39" and has hangers affixed to reverse for easy display.
