Description
A third dagger in the heart of the Curse
2013 Boston Red Sox World Series Championship Ring.For eighty-six years, the Boston Red Sox wandered the Major League desert, haunted by the ghost of its greatest error, but by the time this third ring in a decade's time was sent into production, it felt like Beantown was back where it had been a century earlier, the enduring kings of the sport.
Genuine diamonds run the edge of the face, and genuine rubies form the eponymous red socks on the ring face atop a figural World Series Trophy, sandwiched between raised text reporting, "Boston Red Sox World Champions, 2013." Left shank presents the "B Strong" logo inspired by the tragic events of that year's Boston Marathon terror attack, and the year "2013." Right shank pictures the Fenway Park facade and the name and rank of a minor league staffer.
Further engraving appears inside size ten (10) band, reading, "Bearded Brothers" and "10-30-13," the latter being the day of the Championship clincher. We also find "Jostens SEW" stamping here, indicating silver construction. Weight is fifty-four grams (54 g.). Ring presents in marvelous condition in wood and glass display case.
